Discovery 3
The Td V6 variant comes with a 190bhp 2.7-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine and
the V8 version with the 295bhp 4.4-litre petrol engine.
The vehicle is equipped with state-of-the-art features such as terrain response
system, dynamic stability control, electronic traction control, electronic brake
force distribution, anti-lock braking system, hill descent control, adaptive
front lighting system, and computer-controlled cross-linked air suspension.
Discovery 3 made its debut in September last year and had won nearly 40 awards
from respected international motoring publications for its bold new design,
user-friendly technology and exceptional on and off-road capabilities.
Ali said Discovery 3 replaced the Discovery 2 model, which had been
discontinued. “We have sold all our Discovery 2 stocks,” he said.
He also said the company would introduce more models of the Land Rover vehicles
this year.
Land Rover Asia vice-president Roger Jory said demand for Discovery 3 had
outpaced supply. “The demand for Discovery 3 in the European and the US markets
had exceeded our initial expectation,” he said.
