Wind Powered Generator   300 Watts

The wind can provide us with an invaluable source of renewable energy, and may one day even be relied upon to supply the main power grid.   A Fisher & paykel motor suitable for a wind generator, Needs  rewiring. cutting various wires then joining to produce useful power. With a rectifier and  spun by hand will light up a 50watt 12v bulb. Tested with multimeter (rectified out put in volts was 17.80)  spun by hand. To complete you will need to supply  A/C D/C rectifier. blades, platform, tail and regulator. Small in size, this rooftop mounted generator is a practical solution to rising energy costs .

It is difficult to use the power generated by solar, wind or hydro power sources directly, so the electricity is usually stored in special batteries for use when it is needed .The regulator automatically stops the solar panels, wind generator or other power source from charging the battery when the battery is fully charged. There are several different methods for doing this. There are two main types of regulator: series or shunt. Series regulators are the most common and are like an electronic switch which disconnects the panel from the battery. This can be done either all at once, like a switch, or gradually, like slowly shutting off a tap. Shunt regulators usually dump excess power as heat, and because they keep a load on the charging source, they are usually used with wind generators or micro-hydro turbines to prevent them from spinning too fast. The shunted power can be used to perform useful work, like heating or pumping water. The amount of energy that can be stored in a battery is called its capacity, and is measured in amp-hours (Ah). A 100Ah battery will deliver 1 amp of current for 100 hours, 4 amps for 25 hours, and so on, although battery capacity will decrease with increasing discharge rates. Battery capacities ranging from 1-2000 Ah or more are available.

Usage:
1. CONNECTION
after connecting the inverter with the car battery, open the power switch. The red LED is on. Then put your equipment's plug into inverter's outlet.

2. PLACE WHERE TO PUT INVERTER
